SUBMISSIONS
******************************************************************
Rio
is published twice yearly on the WWW. It is exclusively an
electronic publication. Since 1997, Rio has presented
the work of both widely published and relatively unknown writers
and artists. Intelligent work, albeit of artificial or natural
origin, is cheerfully solicited.
Editors: Cynthia
Davidson, Gail Lukasik,
Susan Pilewski, Wilbur
Farley.
Rio is biannual, summer and winter. Check the site
for updates.
Guidelines
for Submission

free to anyone who has an internet connection.
2. Writers
may submit clean typed copies of poetry (up to eight poems), fiction
(generally under 10 pages), or creative non-fiction prose (same)
to the below address, accompanied by a self-addressed stamped envelope.
Put your name and address or email address at the top of every page:
Unaccepted entries
without the SASE will be discarded.
Artists may
submit scannable prints, photographs, or drawings, under 8" by 11".
They should not be marked or folded. Artist's name and address information
should be clearly marked on the back of each work.
Artists whose
work does not fit into any discernible category should query first.
3. Electronic
submissions may be sent via e-mail to
rioarts@angelfire.com. (NOTE THE NEW E-MAIL ADDRESS. The old
address is also active, but this one is preferable.) If attachments
are used, please sent text (ASCII).Any other type of attachment
may have to be discarded without notice. Sorry.
4. Submissions
may be sent using a Macintosh-compatible program or text (ASCII)
on a floppy disk. Send to the above P.O. box address. If submissions
are accepted, an electronic copy (disk or e-mail) will be requested.
5. The size
of Rio is limited by the disk space of my server; please
keep this in mind. Large submissions will be accepted few and far
between. But, if you think it's good, send it anyway!
